Scrolling through social media I come across so many places that I say, “Oh, I want to go there,” and often times I do. But the experience I have once I get there is usually quite different from what I had expected before my arrival.
This list is my attempt to answer that question of “why here, and why now.” Each destination stands on its own year after year, but something about 2026 makes it a particularly compelling time to visit.
These are destinations chosen not for momentum or hype, but for the depth of experience they offer when approached thoughtfully. I hope this list inspires you to travel!
